This week in lectures we learned about Hearing Gods voice. The speaker was Peter Brownhill who is the founder of our base.He was such a good speaker. I felt so challenged by his teachings. One thing that really stuck with me was that God will distort truth in your life that will make it very hard for you to hear Gods voice. I have been very challenged this week and look forward to getting deeper in relationship with God. Next week is the Character of God and the speaker is Shirley Brownhill who also founded the base. We went sledding this week!! Without snow of course! haha We used broken down cardboard boxes and sledded down a hill. It didn't work so well. So we decided instead to stand in a jagged line and spin around for 20 seconds and see who could run to the tree. It didn't work so well. I definitely didn't make it to the tree. However I was challenged by someone tospin around 20 times fast holding onto a piece of cardboard and then when I was done drop it on the the ground and thentry and jump over it. It was hilarious. I thought that I made it but everyone said I wasn't close. I just ended up falling over kind of mid air. I was very dizzy. I honestly feel like I have been here in Perth for weeks when I have really only been here for one week. I feel so at homehere. The people are amazing. Today we went sandboarding which was so much fun. It was the first time I have ever been sandboarding and it's nice to report that I stayed on the board the whole way down... with Courtney on my back! I have been pretty sick this week which has sucked. It started with a sore throat and now it has morphed into a stuffy nose and cough. The doctor said I just have a virus and should rest as much as I can. Which if you know me is pretty hard for me to do. I started my work duty this week has been so much fun. I work in the rego office (which to you canadian folk means registrar office). I just do filing and stuff. It's fun.
