So yesterday was the first day I actually felt like I was in Australia! Most likely because we went to the beach and it was so incredibly hot! I can only imagine how hot it will be in like a month or so!
This week our lectures have been on the nature and character of God. It has been so amazing our base director Shirley Brownhill has been the speaker. One thing I loved about hearing her speak was that she totally brought it down to our level in ways that we can relate and it was awesome. It was such a challenging week though. Realizing areas in my life that needs healing and the fact that I need to be more intentional with my relationship with God in order to get to know his character. I know that God has started gearing me up for huge changes in my life. I was at first really nervous about it and not sure if I was ready for the changes and the healing but when I was praying with my one on one (who I love... her name is Kristen!) I heard God just simply tell me that I am ready! Which made me super excited to just deal with stuff in my life that have gone undealt with!
We did evangelism night on Thursday night and it was very nerve racking. I have never done evangelism like that before so I was super nervous. I talked to this one guy in a video store and we chatted a bit and I asked him if he went to church or believed in God and he said "I am gay thats my boyfriend over there" and I just told him that he can still be gay and love Jesus. However he had already put an end to our conversation so that sucked. But it ended off a good night. On our way back to the base we stopped and talked to this guy and we just had a good time talking to him and we got to pray with him which was awesome.
I absolutely love it here! We are so busy that sometimes I get really overwhelmed but overall it's good. I am loving it in the rego office but sometimes it gets so hot in there!
This coming week will be a challenge we are doing repentence and forgiveness! I know it is going to be an emotional week! Please pray for me this week because I know that it's going to be super draining!!!
