So I have come to the conclusion that I need to learn french! Joanne, my bunkmate from Switzerland is a sleep yeller! And since she speaks french I cannot understand what she is yelling! I am very curious to know what she is actually yelling! So I have obviously arrived here safely on Saturday night at about midnight! I was so tired but could only sleep until 530 in the morning! This morning was the latest I have slept in.... 645!!! I have been very jetlagged and it sucks majorly! But I have been having a great time so far. I live in a building called 228 with about 20 girls and there are about the same amount of guys on the other side of the hall. There are also 5 girls who live in a house at gladstone (Trish would be one of them!). Total there is over 40 of us and they are mostly american and Canadian which is odd! I honestly don't feel like I am in Australia! It's been quite sureal! It's very beautiful there and such an interesting culture. One thing I don't like about here is that when walking pedestrians do NOT come first... the cars will mow you over if you get in the way! Trish and I have almost got hit like 6 times! It's been very funny. It has already been extremely challenging so far which has been good!

Thank you everyone for your prayers! It means a lot to me!!

  1. I agree that is is super annoying that the cars won't stop for the pedestrians! Glad you are all settled in and I hope that you get over your jet lag soon! That is really funny about your bunk mate being a sleep yeller. Hopefully she doesn't keep you up all night. Say hi to Trish for me!
