Hello Everyone!
Wow time flies! I can't believe that in almost a month we will be starting our outreach phase. I am not sure if I have explained how our outreach is going to go but I will now. So in the beginning of January we will be starting outreach here in Perth because at the end of January Perth is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their base and we will also be celebrating YWAM internationals anniversary of 50 years and the founders of the base Loren and Darlene Cunningham will be here so that will be so exciting. I am not sure exactly what we will be doing here until them possibly working in churches or something. And then February 1st we will be leaving to go to Mexico city. It should be sweet! I am so stoked for that. We found out our outreach teams. There is about 15 of us and it is a going to be a great group of people in it and I look forward to serving with them.
This past week in lecture we learned about missions. The YWAM leader of all Nigeria bases Paul Dangtoumda spoke and he had amazing yet seemingly unreal stories! It was a really good week he talked a lot about the fear of the Lord and how it is hard to do missions if we don't have the fear of the Lord. One thing that stuck out to me was when he told us that missions is not about the distance you travel but the difference thats made. You can do missions anywhere even in your own country it doesn't have to be some remote place in the world working with the most unreached people. It can be the inner cities in north america or urban areas in europe. It was a good week. I have been challenged a lot in these last few weeks by God and spiritual warfare has been huge. I have been struggling huge but I have faith that this rough time is going to strengthen me way more than I can imagine. If we didn't learn from these tough times than they would be pointless to go through.
This weekend was a lot of fun. We went camping! It's nothing like Canadian camping though. We camped right beside the ocean in this sand duney area. It was fun. We went 4 wheel driving and laid on the beach and had an amazing meal cooked for us by a friend we made here Drikus' parents. It was so amazing I feel so incredibly blessed!
I hope everyone is doing well and I miss you all. I have been getting a little home sick lately for my parents and my sister! It's been hard going through this stuff without them being there to hug me and comfort me. I guess skype will do for now!!
Love you all!
